How to Install OxygenOS 3.5.9 Firmware on OnePlus 2

  1. Stock Recovery Method

  • Download the OxygenOS 3.5.9 for OnePlus 2 OTA file (OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_030_all_1704191749.zip) from this link.
  • Now move the file to the root of your phone’s internal storage (without extracting).
  • Reboot your phone into stock recovery by switching off the device followed by holding Vol –and Power buttons together.
  • On the recovery menu, choose the OTA file under Apply Update option and proceed with the installation.
  • Once it’s finished, reboot the device to check whether it’s updated to OxygenOS 3.5.9 firmware.

Alternatively, you can choose the OTA file through System Updates > Settings Icon > Local Upgrade option as well.

     2. ADB Sideloading Method

  • Download OxygenOS 3.5.9 firmware for OnePlus 2 from the above link.
  • Reboot your phone into stock recovery by switching off the device followed by holding Vol –and Power buttons together.
  • Choose “Install from USB” option in the recovery screen, tap OK to confirm. A screen with “You are in sideload mode” will be displayed.
  • Connect your device to the computer and execute the following command in the command window:
“adb sideload <filename>”
  • Once it’s finished, reboot the device to check whether it’s updated to OxygenOS 3.5.9 firmware.

I suggest you try the former method as it’s the safest and easiest way to install OxygenOS 3.5.9 firmware on your OnePlus 2. The latter requires a computer access and execution of commands, which may confuse newbies.

The initial reboot may take a while and let it finish the installation. Don’t interrupt the process meanwhile. After the reboot, insert your Jio (or any other SIMs which support VoLTE) to enable VoLTE feature automatically. If that doesn’t work, manually create an Access Point Name under the Network Settings.
